What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

I think that he has the same amount of charisma as a vulture does. I miss Tim Russert,at least he used to catch these politicians lying through their teeth, and had a great sense of humor. David Gregory has at least a bit more charisma, than the new NBC Washington bureau chief, what ever that means.

I think David Gregory has so much charisma that I forget Meet the Press comes on any more!

Truthfully for some reason, I can't remember to put MTP on my regular schedule on Sundays. Go figure --maybe because he is so tall and gang-ly and doesn't move with any poise or grace.

I can't quite put my finger on it but maybe it comes down to he is just not very attractive or star material!

They need to get a better host, because he is not doing the show any favors by hosting it.

And believe me, if we are talking about it, they know it and are talking about it too. I bet we will see a change in the program/hosting [or both] very soon. We won't know what has happened behind the scenes, we will only hear about the "change in the scheduling" or something very similar to that "wording"- after it has been done. They will either have David hosting another show, or cancel the show - and him - entirely. We'll see what the results will be.

And isn't his MTP show scheduled opposite [same time different channel] "This Week" with George Stephanopolous? If this is the case, the network might try to place him into a different time slot so that he won't have to go up again George S., who is a very acceptable and popular interviewer (remember, George S. made his name while with the Clinton Administration!).

They will not cancel it, because that show is their longest running show. They should of gave it to Chris Matthews, with the restriction that he would not answer his own questions, lol. Oh, and also not to spit on his guess when talking, or himself for that matter.I was just kidding; I like Chris Matthews.

But Chris has to stop interrupting his guests before they can answer the questions he ask them. I guess that's what you're referring to when you say "answering his own questions :-)

But Chris is known as a "chatterbox" after all. He is not disciplined enough to hold dialogue in the true sense. And I like Mr.Matthews too, but I don't think that is going to one of the job requirements :-)

Mr.Gregory is a Republican hack and is unqualified to be moderator on MTP. The only times he receives decent ratings is when Rachel Maddow is on his panel. In all truthfulness that's who should be the moderator of MTP. Unlike David Gregory, Rachel is always well prepared, does her homework and is not partisan .She takes no prisoners either and will call bull@!$%# when she sees it with anyone. As far as charisma, David Gregory has as much of that as a dining room table does.

So we are in agreement, once again. this person is so bad at his job, that I stopped watching it. I used to watched meet the press every Sunday, but ever since he took over for Tim Russert I switched channels.

Meet the Press used to be the program one could watch to hear the tough questions asked and, sometimes, answered. Tim Russert pulled no punches. Which ever party. Gregory seems to not wish to anger anyone. Thus, leaving the audience wanting. I stopped watching some time ago, unless Rachel is on the panel.

I don't see anyone filling the shoes of Tim Russert. I mean Maddow is alright, but then she is also a Democrat. I also believe she gives these so-called "blue dogs," a pass.

And what is wrong with Rachel being a Democrat? And how do you know she is, in fact, a Democrat?

She has stated it before, on her radio and talk show and btw when Obama was running for President, she was always speaking from side of the Democrats....I am also a Democrat. My thing is that she lets some Democrats, such as the so-called "blue dogs," off the hook. Why? That said, again she is alright but in my opinion she cannot fill the shoes of Tim Russert.

#4.2: always speaking from side of the Democrats

All I am saying is that she is "always speaking from the side of the Democrats" is your opinion that leads you to the conclusion that she is a democrat, but not a proven fact. If you heard her say she is a democrat, that is a different story and is then a fact.

BTW, I am a democrat also so don't think I am picking on you because you are a democrat, just that your assumptions and opinions does not make something a fact.

It is also your opinion that "she lets some Democrats... off the hook." That is not my opinion. Sometimes, it is better not to open a new can of worms, especially when you don't know what answers you will get. In addition, everything on these shows is timed to the fraction of the minute for each segment, which dictates how far and deep you can take a discussion. This is my understanding on how things work on this and any other show.

p.s. I am glad you said in your final statement that "in my opinion". Peace.

I never said it was fact, just like you have an opinion I have a different one. Simply stated, I respect your views. I prefer Russert and to answer the question, yes, Gregory is not the answer and as such it is a fact that I don't engage MTP. That said, Maddow is not the answer either...so then, I guess even if she was the moderator I still would not watch MTP.

Which will make the ratings go up how? The reason MTP had good ratings is that Russert asked all of his guests the tough questions. In my opinion such questioning is perfect. Though I am a Democrat, Rachel shows a positive spin towards other Democrats. Nothing wrong with that, only I perfer the style of Russert...Rachal is no Russert.

She ask the questions like Russert use to no better than he did because he had his own personal agenda and kissed the ass of some the Bush administration. He also failed to question the Iraq invasion and went along with the WMD lie. Rachel Maddow has confronted Democrats as well as all others in her same style which is don't half step or lie you'll be called out. MTP ratings increase when Maddow is on , how much more proof does suits need before they can Gregory.
